DAILY: February 26, 2020

This is James Baldwin week here at the DAILY.  When I was employed at the Curran in San Francisco as the Editor-at-Large, one of my favorite shows on which I worked was Stew’s Notes on a Native Song which he cowrote with Heidi Rodewald. It is a tribute to Baldwin.  Here is the rock anthem “Jimmy Take Me Higher” they wrote for that remarkable revue as Stew is backed up by his band The Negro Problem.
