Julia Reed was a contributing editor and columnist for Newsweek. She was also a contributing editor and senior writer at Vogue for twenty years. Reed is currently a contributing editor at Elle and a columnist for Garden and Gun. She also writes articles for the New York Times, Conde Nast Traveler, and the Wall Street Journal. She is the author of five books about food and culture and anything else that catches her keen eye. A native Mississippian, Reed serves on the board of The Eudora Welty Foundation.
